Communications

In business since 1957, serving Seneca, Cayuga, Wayne & Ontario counties as their primary radio maintenance provider since the 1960s for the Fire, Sheriff, EMS and Highway departments. Our company has installed the existing Dispatch Center which was located at the County Jail and the complete two site communications backbone consisting of a microwave link and multiple base stations for the Fire / EMS / Sheriff operations.

We feel that the intimate knowledge our company and technicians have of this county's existing systems and facilities, would provide you with a firm that would not tie up valuable time of county employees due to any "learning curve" of existing systems and components.

We also installed the new logging recorder equipment manufactured by EXACOM. Working on this equipment affords us the luxury of knowing the interfacing required for the moving and hookup of existing equipment in the new dispatch room. This would provide the county with a considerable cost savings, as our technicians are already aware of the building layout and cable runs which will be needed for this changeover. FLCC prides ourselves in the area of emergency response service.

Our 24 hour, 7 day, 2 hour response service capabilities were seen first hand by the County of Seneca during the unfortunate lightning strike to the Dispatch center which downed all consoles, phones, and alarm equipment. All communications for the Fire / EMS / Sheriff dispatch systems were restored in less than 45 minutes from our receiving the call. This was due largely to our having trained technicians, spare parts availability, and an intimate knowledge of the county's radio systems design.

While we are an authorized Motorola Service Station, and are often associated only with their product line, we have been a Zetron reseller for over 15 years. They are a leader in the field of communications and virtually all manufacturers of communication equipment utilize products developed and manufactured by Zetron to enhance system applications.

Dispatch Center and 911 PSAP applications are nothing new to Zetron whose console products appear in multiple county and metropolitan locations. The console models we have responded with are the same models viewed by the 911 committee members at the APCO and NENA shows which impressed them due to the ease of use and functional layout screens.

Our facility has 4700 Sq. Ft. with 10 Employees, and an extensive parts inventory. Our technical staff averages over 15 years' experience in maintaining 911 systems. Finger Lakes Communication Company, Inc. and CNY Emergency Vehicles, Inc. have joined forces to provide an exclusive company providing a higher level or support and products to offer to our customers.
